Loving A Friend (A Daniel Radcliffe Love Story) Part 14

You quickly showered and got ready.You broke a world record for being prepared and actually looking good in less than 7 minutes! You had 3 extra minutes so you worked on your hair. You decided to let the wet look fan out and left it down.You wearing a pair of dark jeans and a dark plain long-sleeved fitted shirt.

You heard your doorbell ring and you figured it was Daniel. You realized that you forgot to tell Arielle you were leaving so you shook her up.


"Arielle , wake up!" you said tapping her on her shoulder. Since she was a pretty light sleeper she woke up quicky



"Five more minutes mum!" she groaned.




"Arielle,I'm going to the set with Daniel. I'll be back later." you said giggling at how she shoot up at the sound of Daniel's name.



"Oh, well thanks for inviting me!" she said yawning.




"Well I just found out 10 minutes ago myself."you told her then you heard the doorbell ring again. "Well that's him."




"Then go! Go! Have fun! And bring back something for me!" she said to you nudging your body away from the bed and then pulling the sheets over her head. You smiled and walked out of your room.You ran downstairs and opened your door.



"Hey Deena. Are you ready?" Daniel asked looking up at you, sleep in his eyes.


You smiled at him."Well good morning to you too! Haha. Yes I'm ready. Let me just grab my coat." You took your beige coat from the rack near the door and walked outside without it on. Instantly you felt the temperature difference and put your coat on. "Wow it's really cold!" you shivered and wrapped your arms around yourself.


"It is. You seem to be in a really good mood this morning." he said. You looked at him as though what he said was insane.



"What are you talking about? First of all, I'm a morning person, and I'm always in a good mood!" you said defiantly.



"Sure." Daniel nodded as the two of you walked towards a black cadillac escalade that was waiting for you. Daniel opened the back door for you and you politely stepped inside the luxurious jeep. To your pleasure, Dan was sitting next to you, even though there was loads of spare space, not that you were complaining at all.


"So what are you doing today, anyway? I thought you said that you had a break this month." you asked conversationally.


"I am, but wanted to work on some scenes and the director called me in so I just figured...that I would." he said slowly. There seemed to be a suppressed dissappointment in his tone of voice.



"Oh really?"



"Yes. So I hear your quite the actress yourself. Care to tell me about it?" he asked.



You looked up at him and saw him starinig back at you with his beautiful blue eyes, and blushed as you looked away."Um..no. Not really."



"Hmm....Are you sure? Because my mother can't stop talking about a certain play you were in this year." he said.



You knew exactly what he was talking about. You had the lead role in Romeo and Juliet at your school for the fall play. Since you went to an all girl school it was a colaboration play with St.Jude's Academy for boys. Mrs.Radcliffe attended the performance along with you parents. She and your mother could not stop bragging about it to everyone for the past ....well ever since the night you performed. You turned red with embarassment.



"What exactly did she tell you?"



"Simply that you are a natural. She says that you are one of the most superb ametuer actresses she has ever seen. Amd that you played the most beautiful dead girl of life." he told you. You smiled at him, as the blood continued to rush to your face.


"I'm just upset that I missed it in the first place." he added. You looked down at your feet. You remembered how much you had wanted him to be there, but he couldn't since he was away in Australia filming.


"It's not a big deal. So anyway what are you doing for Christmas this year?" you asked trying to change the subject, before you got emotional or something.


"We're going to have Christmas at our house with your family this year." he said. You looked at him so lost in his blue eyes that you didn't realize until 2 minutes later that he had just said that he's having Christmas with your family!



"What do you mean with 'your family'? As in my family?" you asked with shock in the peak of your voice. He looked at you and raised an eyebrow.



"You didn't know? My mother invited your family for Christmas dinner."



You processed slowly what he said and came to two conclussions. You felt that the situation could definetely go two ways. You never really had a holiday dinner with your neighbors before. If you didn't think about it too much, it wouldn't be that bad. But then again, what if you did or said something embarrassing or your little brother let it slip that you were crazy about Daniel? Either way you decided to make it look as though you knew what your were talking about.


"Oh that dinner? Oh yes. I've only just remembered!" you said a faux smile behind it. He noticed too because he gave you a quizzical look as though he was about to say something but he stopped himself while he was at it.



"So how far is the studio anyway?" you asked, again, changing the subject.



"Actually, pretty far. We have a good hour and a half before we get there." he told you.



"Well then, you know what this car needs right?" you said looking at him seriously.



He grinned at you."Music!"



"Exactly!" you said. Daniel reached for a remote and clicked a few buttons until you were both singing all the words to every song that came on your favorite rock radio station.This went on until you fell asleep on Daniel's shoulder after about 25 minutes.

What seemed like only five minutes, but was actually an hour, passed and you woke up to the sound of Daniel's voice. "Deena,....wake up. We're here."
