Loving A Friend ( A Daniel Radcliffe Love Story) Part 13

RECAP:After a short while male waiter approached you."May I take your order?" he asked.




You looked around a bit, *No Arielle...she's late....or lost.*, before saying "Actually I'm waiting for someone so I'll just wait.Can I have a glass half full with ice and water though?"



"Certainly." the man responeded kindly. He came back within a few seconds with your water and you thanked him.




After a few minutes you felt someone tap you on your shoulder.




"Are here alone madame?" said the male voice. Shocked, you turned around to see........Remember?




Micheal! By the way this is what he looks like:






"Micheal? What are you doing here?" you asked surprised to see him again.




"Well I was showing myself around town. Fancy meeting you here though." he said the last part with a fake cockney accent. It made you laugh.




"Having lunch alone?" he asked gesturing to the empty seat in front of you.




"Uh, actually no. I'm waiting for someone." you told him as you glanced quickly at your watch.




"Oh. Well I have to go. It was cool bumping into you again." he smiled with a wave.




"Yea. Bye." you said giving a small wave, that you were certain he didn't see. He was already gone.





About 5 minutes later Arielle showed up. This is what Arielle looks like:

The two of you had a lovely lunch and got caught up. After lunch the two of you went to the different boutiques that were on the the block where you ate. It was really fun! It was about 5:00 o'clock when you went home and Arielle came along too. You walked inside and took off your coats and then headed up to your room.




"So, do you still have a thing for that Daniel kid?" she asked bluntly as she took in a photo of the two of you smiling on your dresser.




You blushed a little bit." Um....What?"




"Oh, so the two of you are dating then?" she asked with a smirk.





"Not exactly. He has a girlfriend. He only sees me as a friend." you responded half heartedly. It was true, but the way you said made it so frank, even though you wished it all false.





"Oh. So you never told him how you felt about him, I'm assuming..." she stated more than asked.




"No." you said in a low voice.





"Deena! Come on now! You've liked that kid since you were ten years old!"





"I know! I know! But it's complicated." you said defensively.




"Oh really? How so?" she quizzed crossing her arms and raising her eyebrows.





"Well, we're such great friends, and if I tell him something ridiculous, like me having more feelings for him for example, it may ruin our friendship! And he's dating someone else. It would make a lot of things ......awkward!"




"But how would you know unless you gave it a shot at least?"




"I don't know bu-"





"EXACTLY!! So give it a shot and if it deosn't work ou-"




"And his girlfriend? I'm sure she would be thrilled!" you retorded sarcastically.




"Listen, it's not like they are married or anything. There is no real comittment there, so as far as I'm concerned, he's on the tables for taking."





"Will everyone stop telling me that?" you said somewhat fustrated.





"Relax Deena. I'm just saying...."




"I know. I know. It's not right though. I'm supposed to be his friend. I refuse to sabotage his relationship for my own personal gain. If we are meant to be, then I'll wait. If they are meant to be then, oh well. But I won't stand in their way. It's not fair to Daniel and it's not fair to me!" you said in one big huff of sense.



What you said was the complete truth too. You felt that you had to say what you just did. Everyone had been pressuring you to sabatoge their relationship, and try to make a move. The fact of the matter, was that you liked what you and Daniel had. Friendship. A good mutual friendship. And if you broke him up with his girlfriend, you ran the risk of him possibly hating you if he found out it was your fault. Besides what if he didn't feel the same way you felt about him? What then? Of course you wanted a chance with Daniel, but if you had to steep so low as to steal him away by tricky and unfair tacticts, then it wasn't right at all! What was the point?



"Deena, I never told you to sabotage his relationship, but at one point or another you have to let him know that you have feelings for him.You can't keep it inside forever. Yuo've liked him for way too long , and if I know you half as well as I know I do, then you haven't even given him the slightest hint as to how you feel about him." she said evenly in a sympathetic tone.


"You're right. But I don't wanna be the bad guy. When the time is right then I'll let him know. I just don't want to lose him as a friend." you said looking at one of your pictures of you and Daniel in the 7th grade at a fair. You were holding a huge teddy bear you won for yourself in one hand, and a small rabbit like stuffed animal which Dan one for you in the other. Dan's arm was around you and the two of you were laughing.


"I understand Deena. But enough of Daniel. Let's watch a movie." she suggested and quickly added. "Not a Harry Potter one though, of course.!"

You couldn't help but laugh. " Okay."



The rest of the night the two of you watched movies nonstop. Comedies,Chick Flicks, Scary movies, and Dramatic movies. You drank hot cocoa and marshmellows until you felt sick sick and fell asleep.

The next morning you woke up early to a phone call. You picked up your phone.



*Phone Conversation*

You: Hello?


Person: Hey Deena, this is Daniel.


You: Oh Daniel.What's up?


Daniel: I wanted to know if you'd like to come with me to the studio. I'm going to be filming a scene today and I realized that I never took you to the set even though I always promised you.So how about it?



You: Oh wow! YEA! Definetely. What time?


Daniel: I know this is short notice and all, but in about 10 minutes a car is coming to pick us up.



You: 10 minutes?


Daniel: Yes. But I really want you to come!



You: Ok. I'll go get ready then!



Daniel: I'll come to your house when the car get's here.



You: Alright.See you in 10 minutes then.



Daniel: Ok Bye.


*End Conversation*
