RECAP: "Okay.Fine.Then how do you supose that you break him and his girl up?" you asked knowing well that she probably didn't even have a plan!
"You mean 'how are we going to break them up'?"
You rolled your eyes."Yea.Whatever."
"Well..." she began.
"Well,.....I haven't thought that far yet, but we'll come up with something!" she smiled.
You couldn't help but smile too.
*What did I tell her? It's not as easy as everyone makes it sound*
"Why don't we just leave them alone? If they aren't meant to be then they aren't," you looked down," If Dan really likes her then she's the one who shou-" you were cut off by Jackie who began to shake you violently by the shoulders.
"Do you listen to yourself when you speak? How long has he been dating this girl?" she asked.
"3 months." you replied as if it were the most obvious thing. She looked slightly amused that you were able to answer so quickly.
"Okay...I should mention that he's been AWOL for 2 of those months....but anywho, may I ask how long have you known Dan?" she asked with a twinkle in her eye.
"Ever since we were nine." you admitted, "But wouldn't that tell you something? He's had so long to ask me to be his girlfrien-"
"But he never even knew you liked him. I mean have you ever told him?"
"No bu-" "Have you ever even hinted?"
"Well no,bu-" "Then how could he have ever known.He might've felt the same way. But he was probably too shy to say anything. I mean, he's only a guy Deena!"
"He has a girlfriend already!" I exclaimed fustratedly.
"So what D? They aren't married!" she retorted.
You sighed knowing your friend never gave up. Admittedly, she did have very good points.You never did tell Daniel that you liked him, you barely ever gave him any hints. How could he have known? You always tried to appeal to him as a friend.
And he wasn't married to Jasmine so you still had a chance with him.
"Fine.You right." you finally compromised.
"Aren't I always?" she laughed jokingly.
"Sure..." You replied with massive sarcasm. "Okay then! Anyway I came to ask you if you wanted to go to the shops?" she asked brightly, changing the subject.
You grinned at her."Yea let me get changed then." You changed into this:
You put on your coat, scarf, and gloves before leaving.After telling your mom where you were going, the two of you left taking Jackie's car

You visited all your favorite shops with Jackie.You guys spent most of the time just trying on clothes, annoying the people who worked there, and then not even buying from the store! It was pretty fun.Sort of like window shopping but you actually had money to pay for what you wanted, you just didn't buy it!
As you were walking to the food court you noticed a sign up next to an ice cream shop that read Now Hiring. Remembering that you were in desperate need of a job last two weeks, you thought it was a good idea.
"Hey Jackie, go ahead and get the food. I'll catch up in a sec. I'm going to go get a job application from that ice cream parlor." you told her as you handed her a bill.
"Alright.What do you want to eat then?" she questioned.
"Anything Italian." you smiled back as you started to walk off to the shop.
"Ok." she said as she continued on to walk. You walked into the shop and went up to the cashier.
"Hello.Um..I noticed the 'Now Hiring' sign outside. I was wondering if I could get an application?" you asked in a somewhat proffesional tone.
"Oh yes," the cashier girl, with a nametag that read Suzie, responded. She handed you an application."You can turn it in whenever you'd like." her accent was bulgarian
"Alright. Thank you." you responded tucking the folded application neatly into your purse.
You walked out of the shop and made your way to the food court.

You and Jackie arrived back at your house a few hours later. You both tried on the things that the two of you actually bought. You pranced around your room wearing 5 inch pumps like you were models on a runway. Jackie fell about three times while you only fell.......well......six times...It was fun though.
"Deena, do you really want to work at that parlor in the mall?" Jackie asked you as she pulled of one of her heels and massaged her foot.
"Well yea. I need some extra cash, and something to do everyday. I'm bored to death sitting around here doing nothing." you told her as you put on your new large loop earings.
"Well, you can always go sit around doing nothing.....ahem..... next door." Jackie suggested with intent that was clear. You couldn't help but smile at her sense of determination.
The telephone rang just as you were about to say something.
